I enable ip_forwarding by saying YES to "act as a router" on my webmin network configuration/router/gateway page, while I am also using squid on this machine, but my internet is very slow or fluntiate. Please what I am I doing wrong? any link to asample working config file to do this will be appreciable. Cheers. |

Usual speed problems with web pages start with slow dns.
Using squid doesn't make it any better as the delay looks worse after caching delays in squid. Have a look at exactly when/where the delays are.. The status bar in the browser gives a lot of info.. Also try using wget from a command line to get more info about page progress. |
