Lately, my ADSL Internet speed has been dragging. It runs at about 60% of what it should when I test it at
http://www.testmy.net. ("Diagnosis ^info^: May need help : running at only 67.17 % of your hosts average") Results used to be excellent. When I insert a live cd and run the same test, I get excellent results. The problem has to be in the installed Linux on my harddrive. I use Debian Lenny, but the issue may not be Debian specific. I assume that something I have done in the last few weeks has caused the slowdown but I can't find the holdup. I tried shutting off the firewall (Firestarter) with no change. I have shutdown everything I can think of with no change. I have searched the Internet and this forum for ideas, but found nothing. I ran Wireshark, but found nothing out of the ordinary.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
