Sis 900 with linksys router
 

Hi all.

Well im recently new to linux Redhat 8.0. I am using a linksys router which my computer on the network is a direct plugin to the router, no wireless. I have a Sis 900 Fast ethernet Card, and I cannot get it to ping the router or go online.

heres some basic info

Ip : 192.168.1.111
gateway : 192.168.1.1
Dns : 24.92.33.23
----------

But I am confused about the tab that says "route" also, dont know what to fill in there.

In the /etc/modules.conf

I have added
'alias eth0 SIS900"

But that did not seem to help.
