When i run ifconfig eth0 myipaddress i get the error

SIOCSIFFLAGS: Resource temporarily unavailable

Can someone tell me what that is and or tell me how to fix
it.

I have not been able to sucessfully configure a network card with Mandrake 7.2. I've tried 2 different cards...D-Link DFE-530tx+ and Linksys. I get the SCIOFlAGS message with the Linksys card. The D-Link card is never recognized. I have the Linksys card working in another machine running Mandrake 7.0 but after a few hours I haven't had any success in getting it to work on this machine running Windows/Mandrake 7.2.

Check the "Plug and Play OS" setting in your bios.
It should be set to "No"
