Hi!

I have a problem.

I installed the Fedore Core in my laptop.
But I cannot have access to the network of my student residence.

I have an IP address that attributed by DHCP, but it's oly attributed to a computer with my MAC address.

But when I try to setup the network, the system can't get an IP address.
I receive de message
SIOCSIFFLAGS
Invalid argument.

I only can have access to the network using the windows system... but I really need the Linux.

Thank you for all the help you can give me.

You would normally get this message if the ethernet card driver is not loaded or not functional. Check your log files /var/log/dmesg or syslog and check whether the ethernet card is actually being detected and is functional. If it's not then come back with some details of the card make and specs.
