SHUTDOWN a remote PC

Hi'

I want to shutdown a remote (LAN) machine from tty console,
let's say >>shutdown machine 192168254255.

How do I do that by a simple command/what command should I type?

I dont want SSH and plug-in sofware installed.

Thanks in advanced.

I don't think it's easy to do....and in linux, it's almost impossible. Just imagine, If u could do this without having ssh or any other software or without any authentication, you would see a lot of popular websites and servers getting shutdown, restarted, etc etc. :) Who knows, what I would do?

I meant ;
shutdown "MAC-ADDR"

Since we can turn it on remotely ,so we will have it turn-off also.

There must be a command from LINUX ,that's why we love the Pingie.
