Shorewall Will Not Allow Samba Internet Access
Hello forum members,
I'm running Windows 98 as guest on VMware's virtual machine and Mandriva 10.1 as host. I'm using Network Neighborhood (win 98) and Samba for the network. I can now browse my partitions on /mnt while inside of Windows 98 guest, so the network works great.
But the only way I can do this is to disable my firewall because Shorewall will not allow Samba to have Internet access. Whenever I place the x inside of the little square to allow Samba, it removes itself when I click Finish.
Is there a way I can make Shorewall give Samba Internet access along with my other selections? I really don't like being online without a working firewall.
Thanks much in advance,
Roy
