Question Sharing internet connection with windows

Hello

I am currently using a Slackware 9.1 system in a box with 2 ethernet adapters... I use eth1 for the internet (a pppoe connection, wich is working fine) and have to get this connection shared with another pc running windows xp at eth0.
I messed around a little with the routing table and could get both pcs respond to my pings, but I have no clue on how to share the connection

please help me here

Thanks in advance

What you need is to set up IP Masquerading (or might be called IP tunneling by now). There might be a utility that can do this on your distro. I used to know how to do it manually, but I forget by now. Try a google search for IP Masquerading or IP Tunneling

I have 2 nics in my xp box and am using fedora core 1. With XP setup correctly I don't need to do any special configuration for the fedora boxes. I just told it which ip the gateway was and set the machine's ip to be set to obtained.

I don't know how much different slackware is but I would think it should operate the same and the tools available to you are the same as they are for me with fedora core 1.

I've had this setup under redhat 9 as well with no problems.
