Sharing Files Between Windows 98 and Mandrake 9.2 via networking

I have a windows computer and a linux computer in my house. I want to share the files between each other. They are networked via a router that assigns ips dynamically. I'd like to leave it that way if possible but i can change things. How do i share the files both on windows and linux machines. I would be thankful for a link to a decent tutorial if anyone knows one.

In Mandrake 9.2, by far the easiest way to do this would be through the "Control Panel" available in your desktop menu, via Windows Networking.

To do any kind of Windows Networking between the two computers, you will need the program "Samba" installed under Mandrake.

Another way to create shares on your linux computer is to first install a program called "Webmin". You can use the follow on a shell to do this:
rpm -Uvh http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/w...0-1.noarch.rpm
Once this is installed, you can use your Windows computer to go to "http://[computersIP]:10000" in a normal web browser. This will allow you to configure your linux computer remotely. Once logging into webmin, going to Servers -> Samba will allow you to create/modify/delete shares etc.

These are some good HowTo's I've found:
http://hr.uoregon.edu/davidrl/samba.html
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/using_samba/toc.html
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/...TO-Collection/

You might want to consider the Windows Services for Unix free SW from MS:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/sfu/

This lets you mount NFS shares from the Linux box on your MSWin box.
