Sharing dialup between OS X and Knoppix

Asking for a mate who can't get on the net at the moment, does anybody know how an up-to-date OS X machine, connected via dial up can share it's internet connection with a Knoppix HD install over LAN? I've Googled but can't seem to come up with the right keywords, I don't know a lot about networks and I'm struggling to come up with a solution that works.

Any ideas here would be great
