SFTP equivalent of FTP's "quot" command.

Hi All,

How do we execute remote commands using SFTP?

FTP has a command "quot" for this purpose, but it seems that SFTP does not have it. I would like to know the equivalent of the same in SFTP.

Awaiting your reply,

Thanks in Advance,
~Jack

I'm migrating from ftp to sftp.

I already have some scripts which runs using ftp. And they use the quot command in between.
Now, I want to change this script to support sftp. and I'm stuck at this point, to find an equivalent for quot.

May I know how I can use ssh in this scenario?

Awaiting your reply,

Thanks,
~Jack.

My suggestive answer was not clear. There is no QUOT command equivalent in SFTP.

What are your scripts trying to accomplish via QUOT ?
