Question Setup intranet on Fedora Core4 & win98

New to linux.
Have set up Fedora Core 4 linked to win98 box on crossover cable. (Playing with web map serving using Mapserver. No need to connect to internet.)

The install of MapServer included an Apache install - along with other libraries - part of a complete solution from
Previously installed Samba and both boxes happily transfer files etc.

The IP address for Mapserver has been set up on Port 8080. (I accepted default when installing)
I can ping that address from both boxes and get satisfactory replies.
When I try to reach the address through a browser on either box it will not

What basic things should I be exploring to get the browser to connect.

Rep: Reputation: 45 is the loopback address, which means that the service is only available to browsers running on the same system. To connect from another system the service must be attached to a regular IP address like
