Setting up Samba and connecting to Win98 SE thru serial cable
Yes, I am back again. I now have Slackware 8.0 with the 2.4 kernel. Is there anyway to connect a Win98SE box and a Linux box thru a serial cable (no smart-a$$ remarks, you know who you are). I tried using Direct Cable Connection in Windows and tried everything from directly running pppd to a KDE dialer, and the connection was established, but it was dropped shortly afterwards. Any help?
BTW: Yes, I know it's slow. It's only until I get a real network, in which I'll probably come back and ask how to set it up over an ethernet card.

Help may be nice, but figuring it out on your own is fun.
