Setting up Proxy on linux mandrake 9.1

Am back again with a different problem.

I have installed Linux Mandrake 9.1 with two network interface cards.

I have connected my adsl modem to one of the nic which i want it to serve as a gateway for other clients on the network. I have tried sharing the connection but everytime i get the message "pontential lan address conflict on eth0"

Is there a way I can disable DHCP?

Someone out there help me out.

Ciao

go to Mandrake Control Panel and the find service ( i don't remember in what), and click services. find dhcp server and click stop and then clear the checkbox.
