Question Setting up Proxy on fedora or RH 9.0

I am looking at setting up a proxy server on one of my servers and was wondering if I could use this to mask my IP? If this is possible, How could I do it or possibly a sight to read about it. Thanks for any info you can give me!

PS I will be connecting to the server over the internet as I live outside of the country where my office is.
