Setting Up My Router In Linux!

Hi

I have just recently installed Red Hat Linux on to my compaq presario laptop. Before I put linux onto my laptop i was running windows XP. Also i have a cable modem and a linksys BEFSRU31 router with a USB connection. My cable modem and router worked fine under windows XP, but now under linux i cant figure out how to make the computer detect the router or set it up!

So until i can figure this out i cant be on the internet while on linux! if any one can give me some help with this that would be amazing! this problem has been frustrating me for over a week now!

if you can help then thanx so much!

Hrm, there is an auto-config/detect for network settings in Mandrake Linux, but I would'nt know if there is one in Redhat. (simply because I have never used Redhat :P)
