setting up my DNS record with wildcards


I hope my terminology is right as i am fairly new to zone files, but the image explains it pretty good

I am trying to configure my new domain and having a bit of trouble getting wild cards to work.

please take a look at the pic. It is a screenshot explaing my problem.

any help would be great

You can't use wildcards with CNAMEs. If anything, you'd want to use it with an A record, but whether this would work or not would depend on whether Godaddy's DNS supports using wildcards - not all products do. On top of that, Godaddy may not want you using wildcards. I'd check with them first.
