I have compiled the madwifi drivers successfully, and did a make install on them. Hurray - it took me some time to get this long - im still a newbie ;-)

Now, i have to write:

modprobe wlan
modprobe ath_pci
modprobe ath_hal

before the ath0 pops up in the iwconfig command. How do i make this stay there after reboot? (modules.conf/modprobe.conf - and what do i write in there?!)

Now, when i've done that - what then? I can see in iwconfig that there are a signal - but how do i connect to it? And setup networkkeys, etc...?

you have add what very command you want to run in to this text file which is at
/etc/rc.local
yes, you have to write all the initilization parameters too!
when you do modprobe, please use the whole command path which would be "/sbin/modprobe" otherwise the script wouldn't know where is at

Well, I've been trying to get this to work...but I dont know where to get the correct driver from. Which one works? Where do I get it? I havent been able to get it off the disk like this site says. http://madwifiwiki.thewebhost.de/wik...adwifiModules. I downloaded my disks from linuxiso.org. lemme know asap! Thanks
