Setting up kernel for ipchains
Hey guys. I'm trying to setup my kernel for ipchains. /proc/net/ip_fwchains doesn't exist, so that means it's not ready, right? Ok, well I added:
CONFIG_FIREWALL=y
CONFIG_IP_FIREWALL=y
to my /usr/src/linux/.config (kernel 2.4.18 by the way), then ran:
make dep
make bzImage
copied /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot/bzImage to /boot, set up /etc/lilo.conf, and ran lilo. Now I've booted the kernel, but /proc/net/ip_fwchains still doesn't exist. Have I missed something? I really don't know much about proc, can anyone help me out?
