setting up a network between linux (slackware 9.1) and winxp

how would I set up a file and printer server between my linux box and winxp computer, i want to be able to share files, drives, and printers. sorry for the noob questions. thanks

Have you tried samba?

You need to use samba
copy /etc/samba/smb.conf.sample to /etc/samba/smb.conf
Edit it to suit your requirements and start the samba daemon /etc/rc.d/rc.samba

thanks, i'm going to tried that, will i be able to network with my winxp machine with my linux box?
