Setting up a gateway on Debian machine

I came from Xandros distro where things are easy filled in via GUI etc, but now i'm moving to debian and having some troubles.

I have 2 machines, 192.168.0.1 (WinXP/main box), and 192.168.0.10 (Debian). I did a fresh installation earlier, but during that I didn't load the network interface modules/drivers, I fix that since with:
Code:
modconf
Anyhow I'll paste anything that I think may help you guys help me, the problem is that when I configured pppconfig and dialed-in I connected fine, but didn't seem to be functioning like normal, I couldn't ping google etc.

Code:
# ifconfig
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:10:DC:B0:7D:A6
          inet addr:192.168.0.10 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:1567 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:1438 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          RX bytes:183627 (179.3 KiB) TX bytes:131419 (128.3 KiB)
          Interrupt:11 Base address:0xa000

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
          inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
          UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
          RX packets:35 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:35 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:3272 (3.1 KiB) TX bytes:3272 (3.1 KiB)
These DNS server are fine..
Code:
# cat /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 202.173.144.5
nameserver 203.10.1.9
Code:
# cat /etc/network/interfaces
# /etc/network/interfaces -- configuration file for ifup(8), ifdown(8)
# The loopback interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.0.10
netmask 255.255.255.0
network
gateway 192.168.0.10
Thanks.
