Exclamation setting quota on a user's mailbox on a RHEL_AS MX server


how do i set the quota?
where do i set the quota?
/home?
/var/mail?
/var/spool/mail?
well i tried the /var/spool/mail...

hehe i edited my fstab:

none /var/spool/mail ext3 defaults,usrquota,grpquota 1 1

and created the aquota.user
aquota.group

init 6

and the bloody machine is stuck!!

sez Repair filesystem!!


so? anyone good enough to help me??(sounds like a challenge heh?)

Hi Vas, please, take a min to post step by step what you do to set quotas.

Anyway, probably you forget to create the aquota files with the quotacheck like here:

quotacheck -f FILE_SYSTEM


And then, set quotas with:

setquota -u USERNAME block-softlimit> <block-hardlimit> <inode-softlimit> <inode-hardlimit> FILE_SYSTEM
