setting domain name in redhat

I'am little confuse on my Redhat system. I in the process of moving my www.kg4lza.com address to my home redhat machine. trying to save money. I'm also trying to setup a dns server on the same machine to handle request. Also, the domain name is active on the web right now.

can some body give me some ideas please?

How should I set my host name on my machine if my domain name is listed as www.kg4lza.com?

You can name your machine anything you like - tom, pete, harry ... but I'd normally use something like home1.int.kg4lza.com. This helps in setting up mail server in the sense the mail goes out as @home1.int.kg4lza.com. Of course there are other ways to handle this in sendmail.

But as I said you can name it anything.

Note that you would need two nameservers i.e two different ip addresses to host external dns. Altho you could get away with some ISP'. For the domain kg4lza.com, just get the nameservers pointed to your dns servers. Run BIND and add the domains and you're good to go.
