set MSS ? Server does NOT send with negotiated MSS

Hi !

We are trying to setup Jumbo-Frames in our network - that`s why we would
need a server sending with minimum 1460 Bytes in the Payload (MSS).

We setup Fedora Core and Apache. MTU is set to 1500.

In TCP-Handshake I can see that Client & Server are negotiating Maximum Segment Size f.e.:
Client => Server 1460
Server => Client 1460

BUT - as soon as I download from that server it starts sending with 1380 Bytes each Segment. Frame on wire has 1434 Bytes.

Could you please tell me if there is any setting to tell the server to use
the value for the MSS negotiated in the TCP-Handshake.

cheers
Hans
