Server download util

I'm not sure if this is possible but what I want to do is:-

Setup my linux server so that the windows clients can tell the server to download files. This meaning the client PC can be turned off while the server downloads the files.

Is this possible.

I have seen Demon internet do somthing like this for its customers

Any help would be much appreciated

don't know of any pretty way to do it but:

telnet to your server
use 'nohup wget http://..... &'
close telnet
go out
drink

nohup tells the process to ignore the HangUP signal it'll get when the login is broken, and the & puts the process into the background.
