Sendmail -> Mailq error.
 
I'm trying to get my email server to send mail outside my box but, when I do, it gets stuck in the 'mailq' with an error "Cannot resolve hostname".

Can you resolve that name to an ip address
AND the ip addres to hostname?
If not, it is a DNS problem.

Of course I can resolve the DNS. Unless, Sendmail doesn't use the same DNS that everything else on this God forsaken computer uses.

Sendmail should use the same DNS.
...and you're SURE the reverse-lookup also works?
