sendmail mailertable
another question about mailertable

in mailertable i have the following esmtp:[]

i can send mail via a shell to anyone using, but not
same thing goes when using php

how do i allow sending mail to ?

my hosts file localhost.localdomain localhost billybob

also, my /etc/mail/local-host-names localhost localhost.localdomain

again, i send internal mail using
but not

anyone have ideas ?

i was looking at the sendmail docs

and i thought id give it a try to put a dot at the begining of my fake/internal domain name, so that my mailertable file would look like esmtp:[]

but that hasnt seemed to work either

1) add to /etc/mail/local-host-names
2) restart sendmail

RedHat123 04-09-2005 11:43 AM or ?

1) add to /etc/mail/local-host-names
2) restart sendmail
Can't see any mention of "billybob" ?

Just add "" as suggested plus any other domains you want Sendmail to be responsible for
