Sendmail configuration

Hi all,

I want to start using sendmail on my local network. It seems its auto-configured to send mail from localhost, so sending mail when I am logged on to the box is no prob.

When I try so send mail via one of my client machine's it refuses every connection. Also made a telnet session on port 25 witch was also refused.

I am using Iptables, accepting connections on my port 25 on a RH 8.0 box.

Can anyone tell me how to configure sendmail on RH 8.0? Or just help me find a good tutorial?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Is sendmail listening on all interfaces and not just the loopback? What do you get from running:
netstat -nlp

When I do netstat -nlp I get a line off
[root@appolonius mail]# netstat -nlp |grep sendmail
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:25 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 7053/sendmail: acce

This is indeed the fact... It should be 0.0.0.0 or my lan IP. My problem is, how do I get this configured, can anybody set me up with a good tutorial ?

My sendmail stops working, and that makes my mailman failed
as well. Remotely telnet my 25 port is fine, why I cannot send email
out from my mail server? Internal email sedning is just fine.

Thx,
HTM
