Sendmail 30sec delay between ident and delivery...

A few weeks ago a delay appeared on my email server. Sendmail mail now has a delay of 30 sec between the request to get new mail and moment when mails actually start arriving...

#1
So i searched this forum and found the fallowing solution, set the Timeout.ident to 0... I did that but the delay is still there...

#2
Went back on the forum and found another solution - reverse DNS... I didn't had reverse DNS setup on my machine, so i set it up... but still no change with the delay, still there...

Now i can't seem to find anything else regarding this problem so i'll ask... TIA

Found the answer to my own question... if anybody is interested.

After reading pages after pages about the reverse DNS thing and the timeout.ident ... i finally found something else on the subjet.

i commented two line in "etc/xinetd.d/ipop3"...

# log_on_success += USERID
# log_on_failure += USERID

This was sending a request to my IDENTD which isn't responding of something, so it was timing out after 30 sec....
