sendmail


have configured sendmail server on my system i am having a dedicated cable connection with a permanent ip add. i am able to send mail to the outside world.... ( i dont have aregistered domain name) but am not able to recieve mail if somebdy tries to mail me at root@ipaddress. can i recieve mail s this way.....

I think you'll probably want some sort of a pop3 service running to recieve mail like you're used to. Doing a search on http://www.rpmfind.net for "pop3d" will probably get you to what you want, if you're an RPM user.
