Sending a winpopup message


I have alot of XP machines in a network but only one i can send a message too. All of the XP machines can see each other and i can get on the shares through samba. But there is only one i can send a message to with smbclient. Is there some things i should look for to solve the problem ?

messenger service is prolly off on those boxes.

Can't be because i can send a broadcast message from XP for a command prompt and all machines get it.
