Question seems to be working but no result

Hi, dear suse users,
i have just started suse9.1.
I want to start apache+php+mysql support. I could start apache without some php and mysql packages installed. I could open index.html i mean. After installation of rest of packages, apache seems to be working but browser can not open index.html . the error is

`An error occurred while loading localhost
Could not connect to host localhost`

1) what is the problem?

2) i can not see all prosesses on my screen. ps -ax not working.sh=bash. is there alternative command for ps.why some command does not work?

By the way, i am using YaST to configure the system.
help plz?

have you tried
Code:
ps -elf
sometimes it takes apache quite some time to restart with many additional modules installed.
