Question Secure Copy

I have a directory on my Backup server called "/raid/images/" and I would like to "secure" cp that from the server to my Debian workstation via the network using the "scp" command. I just don't exactly know how the command would look like. Here is the directory:

Code:
[root@pback images]# ls -lh
total 8.0K
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4.0K Jun 9 11:52 developer
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4.0K Jun 6 15:44 facility
[root@pback images]# cd developer/
[root@pback developer]# ls -lh
total 6.2G
-rwxr--r-- 1 cwilliams cwilliams 2.0G Jun 9 11:52 gx_de001.GHS
-rwxr--r-- 1 cwilliams cwilliams 642M Jun 9 11:57 gx_de002.GHS
-rwxr--r-- 1 cwilliams cwilliams 2.0G Jun 9 11:57 gx_dev.GHO
-rwxr--r-- 1 cwilliams cwilliams 1.6G Jun 6 10:52 gx_van.GHO

Have you tried "man scp". It's not that difficult to follow and it should answer all your questions Good luck.

Yeah - Man just broke down what it can do.

Nothing helpful as to the command I needed to input.

I ended up doing:

Code:
[root@pback raid]# scp -r /raid/images/ cwilliams@192.168.2.204:~/
cwilliams@10.1.1.204's password:
dim4300.GHO 100% 1396MB 7.3MB/s 03:11
gx_de002.GHS 100% 642MB 7.5MB/s 01:26
gx_dev.GHO 100% 2048MB 7.3MB/s 04:41
gx_van.GHO 100% 1538MB 7.2MB/s 03:33
gx_de001.GHS 100% 2048MB 6.7MB/s 05:08
