There is a device which buffers the tty screens. A kind of scroll-back buffer. Unfortunately I don't remember any references but I guess it was related with 2.6 kernel. Try to search.

Or use xterm and all the bells and whistles of X11.

Best,

Ott

Linux has a wonderful utility called dump ( odd name? )
From a console such as F2, I would run the command:
setterm -dump 2-NR-CONSOLES
By default the output goes in the PWD to a file called screen.dump
That can be redirected to a linux printer with the command:
cat screen.dump > /dev/lp0
You may have to do some research as how to get it to your windows printer but I suspect that you could start with looking at samba.

Just a note: if you wanted to do this from an X window environment, the command might look like ...
xwd -display :0 -root >image.xwd
convert image.xwd image.jpg

or
import -window root image.jpg

Also, if you are just looking for text then look at the script command.
