scp stalled issue
I realize this is an ancient issue, but here's what works for me:
First, some background: the scp stalling issue has been spotted, AFAIK, since 2005, but only in the last couple of years have I seen a lot of posting on the topic.
My particular run-in with this problem occured when trying to scp from a 32-bit guest slackware install in a virtualbox to my 64-bit ubuntu host.
Users have reported some hit-and-miss results with the following:
-playing with the MTU setting on the interface
-recompiling the kernel
-modifying scp source code
Here's what worked for me:
In my virtualbox settings I modified my emulated network card from pcnet32 to e1000. I have heard that pcnet32 driver + virtual machine is a bad combination.
I realize your situation is different, but I hope this blurb is helpful
