Saving DNS Entry
I am new to Linux and am running Fedora Core 2 and it works great. Problem I am having is that when the system boots with the DCHP, I connect to the internet and it is painfully slow and sits at resolving host. I did some research and found that the first DNS number is wrong (must be router for cable modem) but the second DNS number listed is correct. When I change the first DNS number to the DNS for my cable provider, the internet is lightening fast and the problem goes away. When I reboot or start up my system later, the first DNS number has changed back to the original router DNS and I have to manually change it to get connect fast again. I apply and save the change, but it will not save it for the next boot. Any help or quick fix would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
