same alias for multiple IPs in /etc/hosts

can you have same alias for two IPs like below ? sample1-bura #nxge4 sample1-burb sample1-burdata #nxge4 VIP sample1-burc #nxge5 sample1-burd sample1-burdata #nxge5 VIP

Yes, but it will always resolve to the alias defined first
