Samba User Home Drive Size Limits

Hi All,

I currently using samba 3.0.2a as a primary domain controller for my office, is there any way to set the max disk space limits for user`s home directory. Thanks.

Cool Samba User Home Drive Size Limits

Hi, it's not complicated to do what you're asking for.
You have to use disk quotas.
You should enable disk quota first in the kernel, then enable the filesystem to recognize it and finally build your quota table based on username and/or group, etc...

I hope it would be helpful for you, bye Kess...

actually, you don't even need full disk quota from the kernel anymore, the samba 3.x series has built in quota support

when installing samba just do ./configure --help

and you will be able to choose all the options that you need for your setup
