might be just your computer being slow as poop.

i bet your system cpu and memory arent greater than 400mhz and 256mb ram?

for sure, i'm using a 2x opteron (4 cores) with 4GB ram, 1TB diskspace and 3x 1000mbit nics...

i don't think this machine is a bottleneck...

hello there,

what action does your panic-action script(?) take?
Have you tried without?
did you check your logfiles? anything weird there?
if not, you could try and set

or even higher and check the logs.
anything unusual when running testparm?
