Samba Sharing

My samba has been activated. But for some reason when I try to access it from my windows machine it displayes a permission error. Can somebody help me with this. Another problem is that when I go to the network folder on linux and I click on the Localhost the linux machine, it sais that it cannot access it and that it might have been deleted recently. But there is no problem when I access windows from the linux machine. Help!

I don't think it is the config file, I think it is the netbios name. I have not configured one. Where do I do that, because I can't see space for it in the smb.conf file
