Samba Shares and Symlinks

I have two computers. Computer A is a dual boot Windows 8 and Debian testing. On this computer, I have a Windows partition, ntfs, for sharing files between Windows and Debian. I have this partition mounted as me being the owner. In my home directory, I have a symlink to my Music folder on the mounted Windows partition.

I have my home directory as a smb share.

Computer B is a Windows 7 box. When I view my home directory on Computer A, I see the symlink Music directory, but I don't have permission to view its contents.

How can I view the Music directory on Computer B? Is there a way to give permission when I log in to Debian from Computer B? Do I have to share the mounted Windows partition and not use the symlink?

check your smb.conf

Do a :

Code:
testparm -v
This you can view all the default samba configs.

Make sure these options are specified:

Code:
vim /etc/samba/smb.conf

follow symlinks = yes
wide links = yes
unix extensions = yes

Thanks for the info. I didn't see the follow symlinks in the config file. I also didn't know about the exploit. I will figure out a different way to access these files.
