Samba setup w/ Fedora C1

I have downloaded the latest samba RPMs, I run this to see if any dependanices are running:
rpm -qa | grep samba

and get this:
samba-common-3.0.2-7.FC1
samba-client-3.0.2-7.FC1

So, I try to run this:
RPM -Uvh samba-3.0.3-1.pre1.i386.rpm
and get this:
error: Failed dependencies:
samba-common = 0:3.0.3 is needed by samba-3.0.3-1.pre1

What am I doing wrong? How do I even launch Samba since it's installed? I can't find it in X.

U need to download samba-common-3.0.3 and install it before u can install samba-3.0.3-1.pre1.i386.rpm

EDIT: How do u run it after its installed? There was some tool 'ntsysv' in RedHat I guess it still in Fedora. It allows u to choose which services run after boot. But anyway u will need to edit /etc/samba/smb.conf before u can run it (search google for 'Samba HowTo' u ll find loads of them)

Ok, I have samba running now. But, how do I access it via \\linux...?

I can't figure out how to access it from a windows machine.

You need to set it up before u can access it from windows via \\linux

There are many HowTos, just search for them or configure it according to this book - http://www.faqs.org/docs/samba/toc.html

BTW Some related stuff was discussed here lately:
