Question Samba security, How do I ...

Running Red Hat 9 and Samba 3.0, as a server in a network with XP machines. I want to share some server directories with any XP user that logs in, i.e. I don't know who they will be so I can't set them up in RH. I want to share some server directories with only specific XP users. I have played with smb.conf but it seems like this requires a combination of security=share and security=user. How can I create such a setup?

Thanks,
Frank

Welcome to LQ.

You can create a share that is viewable to all using:
public = yes
