ive just installed red hat 9, and connected it to my network. i can get on the internet fine, but samba is the problem. i have set the workgroup to 'HOME' as the rest of the network is, but i dnt know what to do next to make the files show up?

i looked on the dhcp connections and the linux box didnt have a name assigned to it :-| , like i have 'LAPTOP -- 192.168.1.100' 'MAIN_PC -- 192.168.1.102' 'MY_PC -- 192.168.1.103' ' -- 192.168.1.104'

ther is no name assigned to it and i cant see it when i click view workgroup computers in XP.

what do i need to do?

have you tried http://localhost:901 from a browser to configure via swat? have a go at it, post back w/any troubles.
