Question Samba Problem

Hi, I downloaded, compiled, and installed the latest of version of Samba. Then I edited the smb.conf file and did not change anything but the workgroup. I set the same workgroup as my other Windows Me computer. Using LinNeighborhood, I can see my Windows computer. But, I cannot see my Linux computer from Windows. Why not? Also, the Linux computer's name is localhost. And I'm using Red Hat Linux 7.1.

Please Help!
Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are two things I would do if I was you.

1. Give my linux box a 'real' name.
2. Go to Phonax and download his smb.conf

I downloaded it and started playing with the various settings. You could try installing SWAT. I also did that so I could learn the syntax of the smb.conf file.
