Question samba problem

I have setup a share with samba on a ubuntu box. I set it to accept anonymous logins.

When I try to login from linux boxes (using smbclient) I do it successfully. However, when I try with windows machines, there's no way they'll be able to login.

The linux box (smb server) was previously configured to use an active directory for authentication and had already been joined into the domain (don't know if that piece of information will help).

What could be the problem?
