Samba Printing to Win Client
 

i have a network setup with WinXp on one box and slack (running samba) on the other box. i'm sharing a canon i450 on the XP machine and everytime i use the lpr command on slack it tells me its printing to localhost. how do i setup the linux box to print to the canon on XP ?
here is the sequence i'm using for the print commands if that helps

# lpadmin -p canon -E -v smb://xpcomp/canoni450 -D "Canon on XP"
#lpr -P canon test.txt
sending job 'root@slack+512' Canon@localhost
connecting to 'localhost', attempt 1
cannot open connection to local host - No such file or directory
Make sure that the remote host supports the LPD protocol
Waiting 10 seconds before retry
