Samba printing permissions problem

I am trying to use Samba and CUPS to share a printer, but I am getting a permissions error. In the samba log:

/var/log/samba/log.[2005/05/04 15:30:21, 0] printing/printing.c:print_job_start(2297)
/var/log/samba/log. print_job_start: insufficient permissions to open spool file /var/spool/samba_printer/bree/smbprn.00000013.HwGH6l.
What is the correct permissions for this directory? I tried chmod a+rwx, and it works, but that is insecure. Instead, I tried
chmod bree foo; chmod g+rwx bree
but strangely that doesn't work.

I have searched Google for a while, but found no good answers.

root# chmod a+rw TX /var/spool/samba

Hope that helps,
