SAMBA part of 2 subnets for file backups

SITUATION:

Archive Server - Mandriva 2006 with 2 network cards, and runnng SAMBA.
dom_1 - 2000 Domain that can backup files to Archive Server on 10.10.2.X network.
dom_2 - 2000 Domain that can't backup files to Archive Server on 10.10.1.X network
Any attempts to connect to the Archive Server from the dom_2 Domain Controllers receive an access denied error.

THEORY:

I am guessing it has something to do with the Archive Server being part of the dom_1 domain via SAMBA, but not part of dom_2 domain.

QUESTIONS:

1) Is there a way to configure SAMBA as part of two 2000 domains at the same time?
2) If being a part of a domain is not needed, then how can I configure the 2 domains to backup their files to the Archive Server?

Thanks,

Deion "Mule" Christopher

You can connect to another domain by using the fqdn eg use the user name user@dom_1 if make a connection on a computer on the dom_2 domain to connect to a share at a dom_1 share
