Samba on Fedora Core 2 problems

I'm running Samba w/ Fedora Core 2 in my linux box. I'd like to backup my Win98 machine to my linux box by having Win mount the samba directory as a drive. My problem comes in that when I go to connect to Samba from the Win98 machine. It coems up witha box for a password, but not a user name, so I cannot log onto SAmba. Anybody know how I can get out of this?

On windows 98 you will need to use the username that you put into the Microsoft Networking window at boot.
